Our pole kits are made with easy-to-assemble sections. The polished outer finish of this custom designed pole deters climbing by cats, snakes, squirrels and racoons. All are natural enemies of the purple martin.
Aluminum was also chosen because it is strong, won't rust, doesn't need painting, and is one-third the weight of steel. Although more expensive, the overall benefits of aluminum out perform steel.
Please Note - Our pole kits are designed for use with our gourds and may not work well with other manufacturers or applications.
